4 months on madcow now and I think my overhead press is stalled, so I want to add a 5x5 press on Saturday. Anyone see a problem with doing incline treadmill in-between the sets? I was imagining doing about 45 min of "zone 2" treadmill on the highest incline, and then stepping off every 8 minutes or so to do a set of 5 presses. Seeing as how this wouldn't be an intensity day, I feel like it could work.

If the treadmill is enough to produce a metabolic adaption, it will interfere with the press sets. If it isn't, why are you doing it?

Rest between 5x5 press sets is only 3-4 tops. You are effectively saving 15-20 minutes, and in the process ensuring one or the other of your cardio or strength training is less effective. Just do 20 minutes on the treadmill on your off days, if it's that important to you.
