I think I have a new goal: 600lb deadlift by the time my daughter (age 9) has boys coming over. That way, when they come to the house, I can say, "Hold on a minute. Let me finish this rep." Then I power up the 600, hold it at the top, smile like Andy Bolton, and then let it drop. Hand covered in chalk, I give the boy a strong handshake and say, "Nice to meet you."
It will be better than a shotgun. I've got about seven or eight years to do it.

385#3 for the pull. Pretty happy.
Taking the rest of the week off. No sleep. Insufficient nutrition. Elbow pain. I'll repeat SM week 4 next week, but I'll do singles for squats on Monday--no 20s for me, thankyouverymuch.
In the pursuit of something different, I started squatting completely raw recently. I got 315x10 the other night, and then followed it with a triple at 355. That was my max single in March 2011 (and it was REALLY ugly). It is great to see the numbers increasing. I am planning on testing my raw max single soon. I followed it up by jumping in my pool & watching the fireworks from the next town over. The best method for post-workout recovery.
I'm going to do it even better:
CF!
Is it too late to join the challenge? I'm working towards 200/300/400. Hopefully by september.
