Very inspirational article. I wish you the best success with your continued recovery.

It was Thursday, October 29th, 2008 and I had evening no-gi practice at my local Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu club. My neck had been sore for a few weeks, but anyone who has spent any amount of time training in a grappling sport knows that this is nothing new – you do your neck bridges and get stronger, then next time you get thrown you won’t tweak your damn neck. Very inspirational article. I wish you the best success with your continued recovery.
This was an amazing article, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the article. I had a (set of) strokes about a year ago in October 2011, and although the brain trauma was sort of different, the end result has been the same. I found it particularly interesting w.r.t. balance issues which are a huge problem for me at the gym. Stabilizing the dumbbell stuff I have been doing has been crazy hard. This article (linked from Fitocracy) bumped SS to the top of my reading list!
*bump*
I work in a brain injury clinic, and if you don't mind I'd like to forward this to several of my colleagues. I suspect they would find it not only inspirational but useful.
Yeesh!
I somehow missed this on the first go-round. Very scary and yet inspirational. Especially for a 65 year old guy like me who does jujitsu.
Great article!
Appreciate you sharing your story. Very inspirational!
You have come a long way and sounds like you will continue to do so! Wish you best of luck in the future!
