I'm guessing the thread was closed by mistake (which is why i read it because i was surprised to see the icon).
Compared to the BS that goes on here on a regular basis it wasn't even that bad. Disappointing, absolutely, but not that bad.

(and sr, yeah the "fucking retard" thing was unnecessarily harsh. not offensive, but not conducive to the conversation. Same w/ your reaction to "titrate". I hate the use of the word around here, but it's been used by more than one person)

Why ?! If you're competing and juicing out ok, i guess... though even then, what's the point? It's not like there's serious money in PLing or even strongman (afaik).

Your question presupposes some sort of negativity that simply doesn't exist in my paradigm. You probably wouldn't relate to my attitude. If I'm going to be participating in the sport, trying to be the best is not optional. It's just how I'm wired.

I get laid regardless of having a gut, so...

SR, squats will eventually move up no matter what because they use so much muscle mass (this is a big assumption that recovery is reasonable). Just tweaking your form you can probably delay a stall for quite a while. What about the bench/press? Mine doesn't fucking move unless I gain weight. Is it because I'm a pussy?

    Lol!?
I thought this was an unmoderated forum

Anyway, advice was good and I'll be bearing it all in mind, so cheers!
Just got my belt today and did a light day of squats (I know I was supposed to go for the same weight again but I really wanted to wait for the belt). Friday I'll throw it on and try and repeat monday's set and go from there
I'm not too bothered about gaining fat right now it's just difficult to eat it all lol. I'm at around 6000 a day now and that's hard to choke down but I guess where there's a will, there's a way. So I think I'll be seeing what happens on Friday then resetting with a belt while trying to increase the cals

If you want to be a well rounded individual you should have both strength and solid endurance. That is very difficult (read: not impossible) to do with a massive gut and eating ridiculous amounts. Being strong is just one piece of the puzzle.

Sounds a lot like Crossfit, Mike.

Oh right, forgot....crossfit is a bad word.

Crossfit has the right idea, the wrong methodology. You need strength, power, speed, endurance along with a shit ton of skill to be a well rounded individual and athlete.
