I'm looking for a recommendation on a home gym back extension bench.
Doesn't necessarily need to be glute/ham raise, since those seem to be a bit larger, and squats seem to have that covered.
Reg Park describes in his book doing prone back hyperextensions across a flat bench, with a partner holding his ankles, but I haven't figured out a way to do that without help.
I saw a couple of videos of guys doing them lying along (not across) a flat bench with heels underneath, but it's very uncomfortable on the legs.
So optimally, in the interest of space, I'd like to use my flat bench, and maybe invent something to hold my feet down.
Park describes prone back extensions, but I see some benches have the legs at 45 degrees, (and ultimately the extension at 45 degrees) and I wonder if it changes the impact of the exercise much.

I got a Roman chair for about $60 on Amazon and it works great for back extensions. I can also do glute-ham raises on it just by putting my feet on the wall behind it.
how about just doing some good mornings ? all you need is a bar. won't feel the same obviously, but saves money / space ...
