Here is the last set of doubles from today:

Look at the last rep. Grindy. Is this something to worry about/work on (just read Starr's article about the middle of lifts), or just keep carrying on?

BTW, did a search and didn't really find anything helpful other than Starr's piece.

    Thank you,

    Tom

There was no major technical breakdown or anything to worry about. It was just a heavy weight that you grinded through. Stay in your hips better, and carry on, swoledier.

Good. And thanks for the positive squat review. "Swoledier" is a new one. I like it.

Dude, WTF - I taught you the conjugation of squeeze. I thought I was teaching a man to fish. At some point the path of learning must become self-trod!

I'll throw this out. Watch the last rep again. Watch what happens right before you stop. You panicked and tried to get into your chest for an instant, and that's why everything stopped. When it gets heavier, commit more to driving your hips.

Dead on, Steve. I remember think-screaming "Hips!" to myself to finish the rep.

I've found that if I think about driving my hips up from the top of them, instead of from the dorsal side (the exaggerated result of this being a squat-morning), really helps.

No no no, it's definitely grinded. Because we have to differentiate it from, say, what is done to coffee beans, or the thing we stand on all day. I use that special Steve Hill conjugation of squeeze all the time, but I must differ on this one.

Indeed, grinded is an acceptable past tense, albeit rare.

    Wolf's grammar was very well.

Hey, if we're going to drag out old usage, I can start using "pettifogger..."
