I cannot shake this early arm bend. I am at a loss. These three cleans all felt pretty good but as I watch the video they're a mess. I am close to my wit's end. I feel like the problem starts above the knee but I can't see what it is. Anything would be helpful.

Arm bend on a clean is, IMO, the single hardest thing to fix with a lifter, because the lifter has to fix it themselves. Some things we try: HARD internal rotation of the elbows (Look up internal rotation / external rotation before you to this - 50% of people get it 100% wrong); Think about pushing the bar down when you jump; lock your triceps down HARD, etc.

Unfortunately we're not there to yell at you. You know you're doing it. Make yourself stop!

deload why I work on this? I know I'm a grown man and can make my own decisions, but I am trusting your experience.

IIRC, these looked pretty easy. So, no. Besides, you're already doing a bunch of reps on the way up to your working weight anyway.

Also, sometimes a heavy weight will help. Because you will not be able to rack a weight done improperly.

Yes. I am using a hook grip. For all pulls. Cleans and deadlifts.

The video that was recorded from a front facing 45° angle with proper lighting, a reasonable distance, approximately hip height, and landscape in to eliminate black bars on the side.

    Sorry.

Yeah watching now in full screen in Youtube mode I can see it from my computer; from the wifey's Ipad . . .not so much.

Sometimes the hookgrip (for those not doing it) helps the arm 'hang' straight.
