The waters are muddied on this. You build a bit of muscle, but nothing spectacular. That happens once you get a solid footing in training and can begin to apply higher volumes of work.
It's some combination of increased muscle, neuromuscular recruitment and improvement in motor pathways.

Find out for yourself. Start by reading the book. Get a DEXA scan now and then get one when you finish the program. Let us know the results.
