    Hi,

could you please have a look at my press? It always feels to me like my hips are already forward if the load is heavy and there is no room to move them forward. This is why I move back before each rep.

This is my work set of 150x5:

I cannot quite tell from the video, but if you are starting off with your low back in overextension, it will be very hard to move your hips forward. Right now, they never get forward at all. More instructive would be a shot from the side, slightly to the front. Your presses aren't bad by any stretch, but if you want hip involvement, they should move further forward.

Thanks Tom. Here is me doing 157x3x2 from the side, slightly to the front:

Those are pretty good presses. My only comment mirrors the one from before. You wind up and move your hips back. Then, when they come forward, they don't go quite far enough. Just a little more hips forward and you are there. On the whole, good work.

Thanks Tom. Good to know, my presses are not totally off.

    Nice press!

I'm surprised no one has commented on the guy with the kettlebells in the background

I didn't notice that dude when I watched the video. Good catch. At least he was seated directly in front of you while you pressed. He appears meditative in his posture, however. We'll give him a pass.
