Yasmen Brown-Jones, known as Yas, grew up on a farm in South Georgia as one of 12 siblings, which instilled in her a strong work ethic. A breast cancer survivor, she now lives in Cincinnati and works for the Westchester Liberty Chamber.

In October 2022, Yas started training at Starting Strength Cincinnati and the gym community became vital after the tragic loss of her 21-year-old son in November the same year. She found support through training and the Starting Strength community.

To honor her son’s legacy, Yas founded the Angel 14 Foundation, offering life coaching, financial advising, peer counseling, and mental health support for young people. Visit the Angel 14 Foundation to learn more.
