The Olympics, Prison, and Trap Bar | Starting Strength Radio #277
Rip and Rusty discuss the controversy surrounding transgender athletes competing in the Olympics. They also talk about an inmate whose ordered “Blue Book” was confiscated due to claims of it being “too violent.” Lastly, Rip explains why the trap bar deadlift is more akin to a squat than a traditional deadlift.
Regarding the confiscation of the copy of "Starting Strength" at the FL prison, I thought inmates already spent most of their time weightlifting, watching cable tv or engaging in forcible sodomy. Would it really be such a bad thing if they spent more time actually lifting correctly and less time on the other activities? Maybe a guard just really wanted a free copy.
