The most annoying part of getting a bigger, stronger deadlift? Having to load and unload all of those plates. Keep it simple and keep it easy. Starting Strength Coach Phil Meggers of Testify Strength & Conditioning in Omaha, NE, gives you 6 tips to make your life easier so you can save some energy for that big pull you've got coming up.

There is actually an easier but possibly heretical solution to this - space the bar with a pair of 10kg bumpers and load the rest with 15kg iron plates, which are smaller.
Doing this in my home gym and it's very convenient. It probably won't be good to drop a bar loaded like this, but that's not supposed to happen with deadlifts anyway.
