    Fantastic article Rip. Its a matter of maturity really, as a young man I thought comparison to others mattered a lot, as an older man I see now comparisons don't matter at all - we're all on our own journey.

    Man, you have no idea. I couldnt make sentences flow or do like basic grammar when I was in school. Now, I was fine with everything else, but the grammar never improved. I went to school from 2002 to 2014 and of course college was well college. On placement test for programs I would score around 75 to even 80 percentile for everything but grammar. My grammar was around 35 percent. Typing makes me look wayyyy dumber then I really am. My hand writing makes me look special needs if I was to be frank. Lol.

    Same here. I also find them somewhat useful to assess my lifts against each other.

    What I meant was more along the lines of: Looking at the strength standards, my bench is kinda low in comparison to my press. Maybe I should stop half-assing the bench and treat it as seriously as the press.
