    Most people train with the radio on. By “the radio” I mean a source of music in the background – radio, SiriusXM, CD player, iTunes, your phone files, 8-track, cassette (sorry, trying to fill the list). We have all gotten in the habit of having music in the background of our workouts.

    To be honest during my PR Working Sets esp. Squats, I can't even hear my music. The 30 seconds or so that it takes to complete the 5 reps that set, its sensory overload and my ears literally shut down, and my body is in survival mode, so the last thing that I can remember or focus on rather is any music. So I stopped once I go to my PR working set.

    I don't know about this one. 3rd set 5th rep ......sometimes all you have is some loud ass music to push you through that hell.
    When the levee breaks on repeat helps quite a bit.

    That's a beautiful song. No Quarter was my song of choice back in high school. These days I've been training in silence. It's less entertaining, but something about it appeals to me.
