They are paused just below the knee, not at mid-shin. :-)

That's pretty impressive that you have all that capacity today. You've had an awful lot going on! You must have had some great food. :-)

It's because I bailed out of training Friday after just one hour of sword class, and then I lifted during aikido Saturday morning (instead of going to class). I did train for another two hours after lifting, but again it was sword class. Sword takes a lot less out of me than aikido or jujutsu. Plus, I am trying to go to bed at 10pm every night even if I don't sleep for a couple of hours. I don't think I can bail out this much all the time, but I will be making sure to teach more and train less for the next few months. It really makes a difference.

That still sounds like a ton of work! I wish I had your energy (not to mention the strength and time!).

Yeah, I have devoted most of my time outside of work to movement-related arts, but it's what I love to do! It's why I decided not to have kids (at the ripe old age of 16).

    2/4/14

    w/u - squat up to 95x5

    Deadlift
    95x5
    135x5
    185x3
    225x2
    245x1
    265x4 @ 9
    255x4 @ 9

    Wide Grip Bench
    45x5x2
    70x5
    95x5
    110x7 @ 8.5
    105x7 @ 8.5

back started to feel like I'd tweaked it right about now - it's inflamed but I don't think it's going to last

HBBS no belt + .25" shoe inserts
    45x5x2
    70x5
    95x5
    115x2
    135x7 @ 9
    130x7 @ 9

inserts = better bottom position, not sure if I like them though. Less hamstring involvement. Some of the really great features of my (new) shoes are taken away with the inserts. Had some knee soreness during warmups but not at work weights.

    GPP - 25 chins, C2 intervals 6x:20/1:40, 10 min cool down
mobility (more than 10 min, maybe 45 or so)
abs/back to be done tomorrow morning.

Low back pain, ugh. Did ab/back work plus a bunch of hamstring (PNF) stretching. All of that felt great. Now I have to go sit in front of a computer. Perhaps I will repeat what I just did tonight. I expect it will calm down over the next couple of days, though.

Hope the tweak mends fast! I wish I could borrow some of your DL power.
