    Tricep dips: 45x8, 45x7

    Still a little drained from the holidays, feeling more like normal today besides a sore throat. Hoping I feel better tomorrow for deadlifts, oh how I love deadlifts.

    Default adding/substituting Kroc rows? oh, and chins.

    Sick as shit. Missed a DL day and a metcon. Trying to rest up and be back to lifting Monday.

    I've been told by a few good sources that high rep dumbell rows, aka Kroc rows, help build incredible grip strength as well as working the back. Now I just need some advice on how to work them in to my program.

    While I'm switching things up, would I be better off replacing the curls with chin-ups? Especially going into the Marine corps, chins are seen as a more functional exercise. Should the change of exercise effect the rep scheme? 3 sets of 6-8/8-10 to parallel the tricep dips done on bench press day seems like a good plan in my head.

    Current DL day

    DL 5x5
    Barbell rows 3x6-8
    hyperextensions 3x10-15
    barbell curls 5x5


    Proposed new workout:
    DL 5x5
    Kroc rows 3x20+
    hyperextensions 3x10-15
    Chins 3x6-8/8-10



    This sound ok to everyone? This might be thinking too much considering I'll only really be doing it for 2 weeks. bootcamp is 30 days away and the last 2 weeks are going to have more of a conditioning side to them.

    Squat: 205, 205, 205, 215, 215x5
    Front box Squats: 125, 135, 155x10
    Glute raises: 15, 15, 15
    Calf raises: 50# on a weightbelt x17, 15, 16, 17

    1/13 Shitty lifting day, stalled out early
    Bench: 165x5, 165x4, 155x5, 155x5, 145x5
    DB press: 50'sx10, 55'sx9
    Mil. press: 95x10, 95x8, 95x6
    Dips: 45# on a weightbelt x8, 8

    1/15 new DL PR
    Deadlift: 255, 255, 265, 265x5(without straps) 305x8 with straps, no belt.
    Barbell rows: 135x8, 145x7, 155x7
    Hyperextensions: BWx15, 10#x15, 10#x15
    Chin-ups: 25, 30, 30, 35, 35x5
