I can't believe I didn't notice this until now, but didn't you have problems with BLDL because of your back injury? Nice going though.

Yeah, severe problems, Mark. You'll notice that I've been keeping it very light. Yesterday was a very light week because the week before on a little bit heavier day I could start to feel it in my low back at lockout. So from now on I'll go heavy-light from week to week as long as I'm pain free. I just found a new chiropractor that has does wonders for my low back so like an idiot I figured this would be my chance to get in some deads. I'm not looking to do something spectacular, just get some DL work in to work my hammies and back.

    Thanks for noticing though!

    Only bifocals?

    Close grip--240x18-310x2-4-4-2
    Dips--BWx3x12
    Rows-up to 250x4x8

Just mixed up the light close grip normally 6x2, into something different. Needed a bit more volume today to help with recovery.

A really good lifting day! Finally felt good, very good. Plus, a weekend day with all the guys here and not just a little chitchat and banter, and not just verbal sparring, but all out verbal warfare! Funny how that makes for an inspirational lifting session.

Close grip--a few warmups--240x12--more warmups-- 350x4x4, last 2 reps of fourth set with long pauses!

    Curls--75x10-100x10-125x10-160x7!

Wow. Sore, tight and more than just a little fatigue! But a workout will 'work it out'.

Found myself entirely too satisfied with the first set of close grip with 370x3. Told my partners right then I wasn't going to even attempt a 2nd set of 3. So I did a fairly easy set of 2 and paused my final set, the single. Felt really good. One of my partners got 2 sets of 3 and a set of 2 and failed on the final rep. Not bad, blew ME out of the water!

Still a little residual fatigue/soreness in my bicep tendons. I'm sure it'll be gone by monday.

Man, no excuses for today. Going in I felt great. Well rested, well fed, everything a lifter would want. Scheduled for 2 sets of 2 and fell woefully short. At least 1 of my partners got his 2x2 and I"m not complaining that he outweighs my puny 245lbs by 90lbs.....
