    What are gilbos? If you mean scissors or shears, then no. Leather that thick is too much for standard scissors. Something like these would do just fine though, right up to around 12 oz. weight cowhide.

    Its not a purse. Its a european carry-all.

    They are very handy for things like your wallet, keys, chapstick, makeup . . .etc.

    I'm getting a little thinner on top and the bald spot on the back of my head is growing a little every decade if that makes you feel a little better.

    Much better. In my case my receding hairline caught up with my own growing bald spot. That pretty much wipes out the entire crop on ones dome.
