Nope, so far so good! I've been working at spending lots of time outside, snow is a foot deep after lawns were being mowed a couple weeks ago, but a big four-wheeler with a dog that needs lots of exercise, so he's been keeping me healthy.

After nine days, at least she isn't as sick. But still not feeling well enough to be pleasant to the other member of this household...

Yeah, this year's flu really drags on - for most people at least 2 weeks.

Not the flu, but I finally got whatever this is. I'm terribly susceptible to medication, those that make us sleepy, and I took too much cold medicine. Just a normal half-dose for an adult, supposed to wear off in 4-6 hours, but 36 hours later I'm still groggy with my ears ringing. Dang, back to taking nothing. So today ended up as that awful lift days we all dread.

    Close grip bench
    140x12
    240x10
    265x2
    295x2
    330x4-3-3-2
    Military
    135x5
    155x4
    185x4
    Curls
    70x15
    100x15
    Ab wheel
    15 kneeling
    4 standing

Probably should have stopped after the first awful set of four. Kept going and stopped before failure, doing terribly. Oh well, I'll take this as a off/easy week, come back feeling better next Monday.

I’ve been sick before and training has gone fine, but this one really has drained me too. Freaking dirty germy people.

Think of it this way your RPEs are still 8s and 9s.

    Spring can't come soon enough.

    You've had enough "winter".

I think I'm feeling a bit better. Friskier for sure

Close grip bench press (medium day)
    140x12
    240x12
    285x4 sets of 6
    285x8*
    Front squat
    135-185-225-300x1

Man, CGs felt mucho bettero today. *Decided to do a couple extra reps on the fifth set, stopped a couple before failing. Had 10, maybe 11 in me. Still got a long way back. FSs felt much better than next week.

Also, went ahead and ordered an EliteFTS SS Yoke Bar last night. Looking forward to back squatting again. For the price, I'd better work them hard! My goal is 500 or so by sometime this summer. Going to take some time to get used to something I haven't done in perhaps 10 years or so. Besides, hitting a 400+ pound close grip again is my real goal.

New equipment - very exciting! Good luck with your renewed squat program.

Thanks Amy! Looking forward to it. Yoda, I can only hope. At least a 500 pound squat again, then move my old close grip PR to at least 425, 200 kilos would be even better!

Went to my chiro today. Was having a little issue with my triceps strength as I fatigued, resulting in herky-jerky movement. He worked over my C5, C6, C7, area, along with T1, T2, and T3. All this resulted in massive triceps strength and I got a little carried away this afternoon.

    close grip bench
    140x12
    240x12
    250x9 sets of 3
    325x1
    360x1
    Bent rows (snatch grip)
    135-180-190-200x3
    Curls
    70-110-140x10
    Ab wheel
    15 kneeling

Whew, stopped myself at 360 in the CG because I was lifting alone. My rows probably aren't a real snatch grip, my middle finger is on the power ring.

Got an email from UPS today. My SSB will be delivered on Tuesday. Looking forward to it because squat day is Wednesday!
