Sorry to hear about the delay in your plans, Oldster. I used to do T-Bar rows the exact same way with a bar in the corner...cool!

Brucie used to do them in College and thought we should try something different. I like it and see how a fellow could work up to 300-400lbs in this.
The T-Bar row is a legit exercise. Usually it's done by putting a handle to the bar, in order to facilitate holding it, but the handle is not essential.

Is there a handle that I can purchase to affix to my bar? I don't want to weld something on.

I can see how the handle isn't needed though. I liked it.

Usually people use one of those triangular cable attachments

    Like this.

You don't need to weld it, just put the bar in the crook and pull away.

Hey cool, Carlos. Not what I had pictured in my mind. So much simpler!

    Thanks!

Just a note of caution about this exercise. There's a tendency to round your back unless you are very vigilant about form and foot positioning relative to the anchor point of the bar and what angle and depth you let the bar descend to. I've had some lower back woes get triggered by this exercise and avoid it these days.

I'll keep that in mind, Mark. Due to back injuries during my lifetime I happen to have a very flat back no matter what movement I'm doing. I'll sure keep your points in the back of my mind though. Thanks.

    20" Close grip--up to 240x12--315x6 sets of 5
    DB Military--45's--65'sx12
    Curls--70--120--145x10
    Ab roller--12 (knees only)

Pleased with the smoothness and easiness of all 30 reps with 315. The 30th was as easy or easier than the first rep.

I'll take a few more weeks to become used to the DB military before I put any real weight to it. Curls hurt, I have something going on in my forearm and I'm not sure what caused it. Ab rollers were fine though I was tender from rep 4 on. I hope I am healed up enough to do another few reps from the standing position next week.

    starting strength coach development program
    20" Close grip--up to 240c15--315x6 sets of 2
    DB bench--80'sx15--125'sx14
    Chins--15#x10
    Ab roller--5 from knees--4 standing

Coming down with a bad cold and sore throat today. Nothing felt good outside of the ab roller work. This time there was no ab pain so I stopped at the 4 reps.
