Great work--impressive all around and good news from the Doctor. Try fish oil? Enjoy the graduation ceremonies. It's a great thing your wife is doing--a remarkable journey to take a (little) later in life.
Thanks DeeLee, I sure hope so! I plan to reintroduce it tomorrow if at all possible. I'm not going to baby it, I'll just use it like any other injured part and figure out how to do it.

Dropped a set from both CG's and Dips, just kind of tired and figured it wouldn't hurt anything. If I feel a bit more energetic next week I'll add those sets back. Plus I trained alone this afternoon and am pushing hard at this point.
Starting to pack, sometime tomorrow I'm going to try and get a lift in, my wife is going through her Masters graduation, its a very big deal to her so I support her 100%. Not bad for an old gal in her 50's! But she has some sort of ceremony called 'Cutting of the Ivy' and 'Hooding' tomorrow and then the following day her actual graduation. So I'll be spending (gulp) two days in Seattle proper. (again, gulp!)

Glad to see you are getting the ok from the doctor to continue chasing your goals!
Your wife just hit one of her goals that (probably) took a considerable amount of time and a lot of effort. Make a fool of yourself and cheer her on to support her reaching her goal. Some perspective, cheer her on like she went from a 2xBW back squat to a 3xBW!
Good news indeed. FWIW - I had bursitis in my knee once upon a time. I hit a dead deer with my toe on a motorcycle doing about 50 (I was pointing out the deer on the side of the road with my foot to the riders behind me). Hurt like an MF'er no doubt. I was given a steroid shot in the area of the bursa, and within 30 days, I was gooder than new. There is life after knee bursitis. I don't know how much different this injury is than yours, but I thought I might offer some hope.
What an achievement for your wife! Pulling down a Master's is tough anytime but with a home and family it's even tougher. Convey my congrats to her, please.
As to two whole days in the big city, it will go smoother if'n you don't wear coveralls and if you knock the cow flop off of your boots. :^)
Oh you silly man!
Great news about the knee Oldster!
Hope you had fun in Seattle
Wow folks, thanks for all the nice things said! We got her through her 'Hooding' on Friday and I gotta tell you, it made me swell with pride for my lovely bride. Might have kinda got a bit misty eyed too, plus a little lump in my throat. Saturday we went to a breakfast for all those getting their degree in Educational Carriculum and Development and was overwhelmed hearing all the stories from the speakers talking about how incredibly tough this whole thing was. It was truly well earned for all and it was good to hear how every single teacher had already implemented what they had learned in their classrooms right from the beginning.
Afterward was the actual graduation. Found Key Arena right off so we were 2 hours early. Finding something in a city isn't my strong point so imagine my surprise when I drove right to a parking lot, paid up and walked about 400 yards to the Arena and was almost first in line. To say our seating was great would be an understatement. We sat 3 rows up, right above the Podium where the Dean shook their hands and handed them their diplomas. I planned to hoot and holler when she stepped forward to the Dean but when she stood up to get in line, I went back to that place with the misty eyes and a huge lump in my throat. Luckily she was about 100 back and I was able to get myself under control enough to really let the entire 13000 people present know we were proud of her. I have a big voice when the need arises. It arose.
So, after a long Friday and Saturday I got home Sunday in time to find out a friend was leaving for Arizona for a new job and there was a dinner for him in Portland at our favorite Steakhouse. Two more hours of driving to get there but the good friends plus the 24 oz fillet mignon I had more than made up for it. Whatta weekend! Again, I thank you folks for all the kind words, so does my wife.
