Wanted to start with 145 for 5 but left shoulder hurt did one and stopped
Did 115 5 reps 3 sets
V handle pull down 115 8. 10. 12.

Monday 7/27/15
Shoulder was very painful this morning. I went for an ART treatment this afternoon. I sure helped,going again Wednesday. The dr who lifts,told me to hold off on presses and bench. He said ok to try some LIGHT laterals to,get blood into the area. I guess I will start presses again in a week or so using linear progression for beginners. Getting old sucks.

Good luck with the recovery. Things can go south quickly for us geezers. It's hard to go slow and steady with increases, but injuries are a real setback.

Went for ART treatment today and seems to help going to go again Friday.holding off presses until next week.

Friday 7/31/15
Went for treatment today. It sure is painful, but the shoulder feels better and he is working on my right shoulder, trying to get me a little more ROM, I can't get my hand up to my scapula like I can with my left.
Did rotator cuff exercises using 3 lb Dumbbells 25 reps in each of the four exercises .
Tricep push downs 50lbs 3x10
Cable curls 25lbs 3x12
Lat raises 5lb 25 Reps front side and rear

Keep the faith Jerry. I've rehabed myself through knee problems from martial arts many years ago, and shoulder problems from competing in Firefighter Combat Challenge several years ago. Then there was that minor issue with the heart attack, but I'm right as rain now. It looks like crap when you're injured, but sunny days are ahead.

Thanks Farback. It feels good now, but that's what happened two weeks ago. After benching some pain, it went away and I felt fine pressing . Then the next week it didn't feel right on warmup for the bench. I am going to try the Starr rehab next week, maybe just use the bar. Then going to try what Hurl wrote bench, press, sqt and DL ever other week. And thow in some bro work on the days between .

Tricep push down 50/12 6 1 minute rest.
I want to thank lou t for the tips on the DL, made them easier.
