Nice work. Based on the 3 reps @ 230, do you think 240 was there?

    ***********************

    Here is your Deadlift Cycle:

    Week 1) 185X1, 190X1, 205X1 / 3X3 (3 Sets of 3 Reps) @ 145

    Week 2) 190X1, 205X1, 210X1 / 3X3 (3 Sets of 3 Reps) @ 170

    Week 3) 205X1, 210X1, 215X1 / 2X3 (2 Sets of 3 Reps) @ 185

    Week 4) 210X1, 215X1, 220X1 / 2X3 (2 Sets of 3 Reps) @ 195

    Week 5) 215X1, 220X1, 235X1 / 1X3 (1 Set of 3 Reps) @ 220

    Week 6) Max 245-250

** These are the works sets, I'm leaving the warm-up choices up to you. Warm-up Appropriately.
** I wouldn't go crazy with your squats during this cycle. I would skip Squats in week 5 for recovery.
** Template wise, I Deadlift on Saturday and Squat on Tuesday. Any days work, just keep the same spacing.
** A little Lat and Upper Back work would be beneficial. PM me on IG with any questions.

I kind of doubt it based on how the first rep felt.
If my grandson wasn't there watching I might have linked out.

Great memories. I took my Mom and daughter on that train about 20 years ago. My mom was a retired railroad switchman, so she got a big kick out of the the 1890's style steam engine. Great views, especially on the trestles. The nearby drive from Durango to Ouray to Ridgeway is highly recommended if you have good weather.

Mesa Verde is a great drive as well, but it is deceptively long, you have to enter the part by noon to be allowed in. And you have a hard time getting out by dark. For paved road it is uncommonly difficult. (aka don't tow anything) But you have views and cliff dwellings. It takes a full day "once you get there". The ride Durango to Ridgeway is much easier, and far less of a commitment. (and services are available)

Kept the WO short. It was 91° and I want to save energy for the DL on Saturday. The first 2 sets of BP were fine, ran out of gas on the last set.

Yep, that looks like a great deadlift program. I copied it for later reference.

Looking forward to seeing you kick some ass, Jerry!
