Hope the SSB is the answer for you. If not, there are always hip belt squats or using a hex bar though.

I have a trap bar at home although I haven't used it in a while. I have read here that SS doesn't recommend doing trap bar deadlifts and wonder why. They sure seem to work legs and lower back as well as traps. Good luck with the meet.
I used the Trap Bar plenty years ago. I came in 3rd in a rep contest in 1998 got 23 reps with 360 touch and go. WO on Sunday with the SSB did 145 5x2 then went for 8. I need to remember to drive with the hips.
Then did BP 145 5x3 .
that was it for the day.
Nice numbers on the bench, Jerry. I got 145x5 on my top set today, but I don't think I could do 3x5 yet. In fact I'm sure I couldn't.
Today was DL 230 5x2 then last set of 6
Press 95 5x2 then set of 6
Pull down 125 5x2 last set got 8.
For some reason, I seem to want to add reps on my last set. I was going to do back of sets but decided to leave it alone and try adding 5 lbs to,the DL and 2.5 for the press and pulldowns next week.
What sort of program are you following that calls for 5x2, plus 6? I'm not familiar....
No specific program. I just seems that sometimes I can get more reps on my second or third set. I usually find the first set heavy, the second set easier, but keep it to the reps I was trying for. On the third set I will push it. Sometimes it happens.
