    I've been at my parents house this weekend, helping get my Dad situated with the hospital bed, and hooking his TV up. He's still managing to get to the kitchen table and bathroom, with supervision, but spends more time sleeping now. I managed to get a workout in this morning;

    Sorry to hear what's going on. Maybe the hospital was a better choice than hospice. The hospital will try and get him well, hospice will just try and make him comfortable. He's lucky he has you, when no one is looking out for a patient the hospital staff seem to get lazy in my experience.

    Sorry to read that. I just hope he didn't suffer to much. I hope your Mom is OK, it's tough to lose the person you live with. Keep yourself healthy.

    Walt I am sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. You're lucky to have quite a few siblings to go through this experience with. I am sure that you will celebrate his life with many happy memories.

    Thank you both, Fred and Shug... I'm back in Vermont for the weekend, but heading back to my Mom's on Tuesday. In the meantime, my sister's are with her. I managed to get my first decent workout in this morning, I'm still a little light...if I can get back up to 195 I'll be satisfied. Sun, Sep 24

    I'm back at my mom's for at least a week, working with my brothers to sort out my dad's things. He was a real packrat, saving everything, and it's a very daunting task to say the least. Things are settling down and my mom is doing pretty well.
    I managed to get a good workout in this morning before my mom got up.

    Good to get your workout in. I was helping a friend retrieve some of his stuff he had stored in his friends garage. The guy passed away and the family sold the house. It wad sad and I didn't even know him. I did have to do this myself a fee times. Sad memories. Take care of yourself.

    I'm still at my mom's, yesterday helped my two brothers load my dad's tractor implements on a trailer for my youngest brother. Tweaked my back just a bit, but still got my workout in this morning.

    I ended up working out this evening at my mom's, but I really prefer morning workouts, not to mention it was very warm today in central NY...87 degrees. I'm planning on heading back to Vermont in the next day or two. We've had a lot of help around here since my dad passed last month, between my five siblings and me, and some of our own kids. Things have settled down and my mom seems to be doing well.
