That arthritis in my hip flared up pretty bad last night, don't know if the thunderstorm we had overnight had anything to do with it, but it was well enough to get a good workout this morning.

Even though recent xray say I have arthritic shoulders I never noticed weather affecting them. But I do member my Mom saying she could tell when it was going to rain .

I managed to get a quick conditioning and grip workout in today, after a long break from them. Arthritis in my thumbs is making the grip work tough, but I'll do what I can.

    Bwt - 196
    Ext. rotator: 12.5x10x3
    BB complex: 65x4, 3, 2, 1 in 5m 30s
    Pinch grip: 20, 25, 30, 35
    FB rev. curl: 40x5, 5, 10
    FB hold: 167x30 sec.
Note: My BB complex consists of six exercises done back to back without releasing the bar, with one minute rest between series. I'll add one rep each workout, building up to 8-6-4-2, after which I'll add a little weight, drop the reps down to 5-4-3-2, then build back up again. My exercises for the complex are DL, Barski (hang) clean, front squat, push press, back squat and push press behind neck. When I was doing them regularly a couple years ago, they were great for my conditioning and kept my blood pressure in a great spot.

I'm having some sciatic pain down my leg today, but still managed to get a pretty good workout in, though I did skip my usual DB swing warmup.

My friend had a pretty nasty accident on Thursday. She was walking our dog, and somehow he pulled her off her feet, and she hit the sidewalk hard. She managed to hold onto the dog and make it back inside, but she was banged up and in considerable pain. She refused to go to urgent care until the following day, so I took care of her injuries as best I could. The following day (Friday), after going to urgent care, we found out she had a pretty badly bruised hand, but worse was a broken kneecap. They put a leg brace on her and put in a referral to orthopedics. Hopefully we'll hear from them tomorrow. In the meantime, I've become her personal caregiver, luckily a job I was well-trained for.

My friend is doing pretty well with the pain, and they did tell her she was allowed to walk (with the brace), so she went to the gym with me this morning while I worked out.

I'd planned to do BB curls, but was too gassed from the rest.

Sorry to hear this. We can never tell when we will land on the ground. A guy I worked with recently fell going into his garage, went down 2 steps and broke his hip.
