Took my last SQ/BP workout this morning at my storage unit. Temp outside was in the 20's, just 34 in my unit. After starting my heater, I began my SQ warm-ups (wearing hat and gloves). I had to switch propane tanks before finishing the squats, weights felt heavier than usual (hopefully just the cold).

Today's meet is in the books, and I was fortunate to walk away (in one piece) with three new VT State Records, squat, deadlift and total. It definitely wasn't easy, and I'll be feeling the effects for a few days, but I'm pleased with my performance. I even impressed a fair number of fellow lifters. Here's my results;
RPS Winter's Wrath
Bwt -197.2
SQ: 1st - 266 - good
2nd - 286 - good State Record
3rd - 296 - finished but a fraction high 2-1 against
BP: 1st - 185 - good
2nd - 200 - good
3rd - 210 - miss at sticking point
DL: 1st - 345 - good
2nd - 375 - tough but good State Record
Passed on my 3rd
Total - 861 State Record and 81 pound gain in last three months.

Thanks guys for the congrats...it took a couple days for the soreness to subside, and I'm feeling better physically now. Unfortunately, I also caught a cold. It's not bad, so I'm hoping I'll be good to go easing back into training next week. I did have to reschedule a PT appt I was supposed to have at the VA clinic tomorrow.

I'm getting over the cold I came down with this week, should be ok to start working out again by Sunday. If any of you want to see the results from my meet last week, they're up on the website now - revolutionpowerlifting.com - I lifted in the morning session Raw Modern, Walt Sedorus Jr 198 lb class. The meet was Winter's Wrath in West Lebanon NH on Dec. 7.

My first workout back after the meet was this past Sunday. I worked out in my storage unit, but it was very cold here that morning. I managed to get the temp in the unit up to about 40 degrees before I called it a day. I got through everything but squats, which I did yesterday. My hip was feelin' the cold on Sunday.
