    Press 1.5: 45x5x2, 60x3, 70x2, 80x1, 85x5, 90x5, 95x5

BP: 45x5, 95x3, 145x1, 161x5. I moved my grip out to "regular width" and was pleasantly surprised by the good results. I did not hit the safety pin on the right.

    DL: 135x5, 225x2, 270x1, 295x5

What grip had you been using on the bench?

    Short answer: press grip.

Long answer, to a much appreciated question: press grip is index fingers at the edge of the inside knurling. The Barbell Prescription recommended a compromise of one thumbs length wider than that, which I tried for a bit. But for me, "regular" width is one hands width wider than press grip. That puts my pinkies right on the border on the powerlifting scores on the bar.

Thanks for the reply. I was wondering what grip some of the people that I followed used. I was a little wider than you were using and have moved it out but not as far as you did. My bench has been going up and hesitate to deviate much for now. Good luck with yours.

When I Bench or Press, it's ring finger on the rings.

My arms are to damn long for this exercise...

    Well there's that...and being 6'3" doesn't hurt either.

Though it does make Squats harder...

Ha! Reminds me of some 10+ years ago when we still lived in CA. I could still DL over 400 then and when the baggers would ask me if I needed any help to the car with the groceries I'd answer, "Why? Do they weight more than 400 pounds?" Our Daughter, who was in her teens at the time, always got embarrassed if she was with me. But she did make a t-shirt for this past Christmas that says "Does It Weigh More Than 400 Pounds?" I'm wearing it today to the gym.

Yikes...I got behind on my log so I will just give summary highlights.

SQ: meh. Got up to 225x5 and decided to do 2 sets across instead of 3 (maybe even just one top set). Also, light days. I just don't care about SQ as much as P and DL.

P: Was doing first 3 reps on one breath, but ran out of gas for reps 4 and 5. Switched to a breath at the top.

BP: continued good fortune with a wider grip makes me want to try and train for a (virtual) PL meet.

    DL: once a week.
