Squat maybe, to begin with. I wish you good luck, remember to keep us posted.
Yep squat first starting with broom stick just to see if I can position the left arm correctly but that's after a while. Also bench with a broom stick just for mobility.

    Thanks Lars!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes! I'm glad I can celebrate another one as the past two months had me wondering.

Happy Birthday Fred, enjoy the day and follow your doctor's orders when you start easing back into the weights.

Thanks fifty and I will follow doctors orders. I have never been cut open before and I do not want to do that again any time soon.

Damn Fred, I go away for a couple of weeks and you're up to shenanigans again!

My MiL had her ICD installed last February, right about the time that I moved down here to help her out. Stick to the "no lifting" for a few weeks to make sure that those leads are firmly implanted, then start light (broomstick light, as mentioned above). I wish I could pass on lifting related news from her experience, but she continues to embrace her long, slow swirling around the drain and would not do a single thing with her left arm until the 8-week "recovery period" was over, to the day. Only then would she use that arm to pick up a can of vegetables. You aren't her.

Congratulations on rocking another year around the sun. Here's to many more!

I cannot offer any advice for your MiL. All my parents and grandparents are long gone so I have no reference. I will be back to my activities asap within reason. Thanks for the birthday wishes.

    Squat
    Bar 40-5

This is the first day I felt good enough to be out in the garage more than 5 minutes so I seen if I could get the bar on my shoulders. No pain in wound area. Right now I'll just slowly move things a little bit with squats.
