Thanks Bill. I had a similar day today but it was lack of energy from finishing the build and install of double driveway gates yesterday and still I got nagged into working on something I did not plan on for about 4 hours. This morning my hands were so tired they were all "stove up" as Slingblade said in the movie LOL. I just wanted to have a "light" workday and hit the weights tomorrow but that went to sh#t fast.

    Have a good one!!

Isn't it funny how we often forget about the outside activities and their impacts on our training sessions? But then again, aren't those outside activities the reason why we train?

    Keep at it!

Yes normal work can zap old folks energy so one has to do the best they can with the situation. Postponement seems to be the work around but at least I am able to mark off another project today...yay!

Sore right shoulder today. Also on the fifth or sixth day of a back tweak so no squats or pulls again. Fun times!

    8-7-2023 Monday walk 1.3 mile 30 minutes.

This is the seventh day of mild back tweak. On the walk I had to slowly add speed it was so sore and even then I did not overdo it. I tried squats yesterday and today but no go. I cannot squat even with bar with out pain past midway down so not going to push those. On the other hand these pulls from the knees were easy.

It looks like Jerry and myself were trying something new this week as I had found this three days ago...Volume Work for Older Lifters (3 Tips for Better Recovery) - Andy Baker

I am going to try Andy Baker's example from the link I posted above on the bench. Also the back tweak is better but not gone.

After doing them I'm thinking less sets and more weight or less sets and more reps. I would have felt less tired with more weight and reps and less sets.

    Just an experiment...
