Nice work Fred. I understand how you feel about doing back offs for more work. I always thought it was better to do more. Back offs, extra reps, and finishers. I've been reading that sometimes that is not a good idea. Even here I've read about " minimum efective dose".

Great job, your doing fine, * means PR?
Im doing 2x5 backoffs at 70 % of my squat workset, its working better then I thought it would do.
It also allows me to train my squat form. On the light day Ijust do 3x5@70% for the same reason, and its not that much stress, its fast and fun, easy to recover.

Jerry I may try backoff sets like Lars uses. The 70% sounds doable after my top set(s) without killing me recovery wise.

Lars an * indicates a PR for the time period since I lost weight and had health problems in 2022. I use this as my main log so I include warm-up sets, recent PR's and some notes. Also I tend to be pretty lazy about writing in my notebook these days and usually catch up a few months later on paper.

Looks fine, have a question about the ** marking in the pull and the 17” and 22” in the bench?
Your block pull is really going up I think?

Thanks Lars. A * or ** is just denoting a PR.

The 22" means that all the following sets used that grip width until the last set done with a 17" close grip.

The block pulls are really fun. I have only done them 3 times so I am just getting started. They do help break up the monotony since I rotate them with pulls from the floor every other week.

Yes, me to, plan to start blockpull as soon as the regular deadlift begins to kill me.
