Barely managed two singles at 162 in February.

    Block pull: 420x5

Big moment on the bench--went fine. The block pull was maybe a half inch higher than the rack pull (will measure next time), but that was fine with me! I wanted to see if I could get a block pull done in our gym, so that I could stop doing rack pulls. It was tiring to set up, but it worked. Our equipment is a little creaky for rack pulls, and the gym has only one bar that is good for pulling, which I'd prefer not to subject to rack pulls.

Good news--I measured and the block pull setup is actually a little lower than I was rack pulling, so that will work fine!

Still using the floss bands on the knees--I think it's helping. Trying to work out hamstring tension and depth on the squat. Wish these things came a little easier. Still getting good explode/break the glass on the press. Some singles tomorrow.

Had a real pop starting to pull a 325 warmup for rack pull on Friday. Wasn't wearing a belt, so that wasn't the problem. I got really tight for the warmup. The only thing I can think of, besides bad luck, is that I may not have been looking to squeeze the warmup off the floor. It was late, somewhat hot, long day, long week, etc.--who knows.

Good news is that pressing doesn't seem to be affected. Bad news is that one deadlift rep at 225 was all I had today. We'll see what I can squat tomorrow. I tried 225 on Saturday, but that was no good. I was able to do 185x5. We'll see how much I can do tomorrow. Looking through the forum threads, you try to train through it and it's 2-3 weeks. Hopefully, this is not a big deal.

225 didn't feel great, could feel the soreness/ache, so called it at one set.

Have done 3 press workouts for five weeks, followed by 4 press workouts for four weeks (also a bench workout each week). More frequent pressing has an effect. We'll see how long this runs out . . .

Good news is there's no interference with benching (or pressing). Not so with deadlift. Got only 2 reps at 225, but that was eight reps overall, which was an improvement over five. We'll see how next week goes.

Doing great on the benches! Good luck with the back as I know how much a pain in the ass they can be.
