    Your squat is getting up there. Good work. I tried your backoff sets on my last squat day and liked that weight percentage. Like you said...not too heavy but still work.

    Interesting, the usual backoff recommendations Ive seen is 80-90% it may be that geezers need to be more careful about intensity and volume on both the workset and the backoffs.

    I think it's an individual thing. I want the top set(s) to be pushed but I still feel the need for more volume. I did feel those last squats I did the next day. I think it's like the old saying goes...Your mileage may vary.
