I think 20 rep programs are something that you should do once so you can say that you got to hang out with Jesus (or whichever deity shows up near the end of your last set). But beyond doing them for the sake of doing it, I found that if anything my heavy squats went backwards slightly, although I think I got a bit of growth in my legs.

He was squatting 120 for his work sets of 5 a couple of weeks ago, with a max of 140x1. 120x20 is a solid goal.

First night back at the gym for 2 years and i had to post this.
Saw a guy on the bench with 40kg just dipping one end at a time and pushing it back up. So left side down and back up, then the right. Now i don't know if this is some new miracle method that's come out but he was telling his mate that its better to work like that with smaller weights than to do a normal bench with a higher weight.

Not a new gym thing, and probably not uncommon, but I recently saw a football teammate try to power clean with a sumo deadlift grip.

I saw a guy doing dips today. Not on the equipment designed for dips, but on the handles on the incline back hyperextension bench. All while simulating "sexy time" with the cushion.

The dips were bad enough, but to rub one's balls on the equipment is simply too much.

I was wondering about this myself - was it working?

I do this to mark my equipment between sets.
