    I bumped up my volume squats to 300, it wasn't as tight as I'd like. I'm not going to drop the weight but I'm going to leave it at 300 for next week. Presses went a lot better I thought.

    12/8/11 Intensity Day

    Squat 340x3
    Squat 340x3 I was a little disappointed with how my depth looked on the first set, so I did another one.

    Press 150x3 (forgot to record this one)

    Deadlift 350x5 These improved a little, not great, but some. Will probably just do a set of 315x5 next week, see how those feel and then work back up.

    How much do you weigh? Keep up the training!

    Where do you train at anyways? I live ~10-15mins from Lubbock, but I'm an oly lifter and no gyms in Lubbock are equipped for decent oly lifting

    I'm about 190 to 195 at 5'11".

    I train at the Bodyworks at 4th and Slide. I pretty much hate it. Where do you train at, I looked at your youtube page and wherever that is it looks much more legit.

    The plan right now is to maybe buy some equipment after the first of the year and see if I can rent a garage at my apartment complex or there is a storage facility across the street and see if I can train out of a storage unit.

    Both squats and bench felt heavy today, though I haven't bumped up the weight from last week. I'm wondering if deadlifting on intensity day is making my volume day a little harder than need be. Or, I was holding my weight volume day down and then started making increases every week until I got to 300 and hit a little bit of a wall with it. Im reluctant to decrease the weight on my squat, I might just try and hold on until Christmas and take a bit of a break or make it a real like week. I would just like to see the form on them be a little tighter.

    Ah okay, never been there. I live in Slaton- it's a really small community, and a lot of my family works for the school district (and substitute teach and tutor there sometimes as well) plus I still know the majority of the coaching staff.
    So they've been gracious enough to let me keep my weights and bar there, and I stay out of their way and go in to train when they aren't in there haha.

    I've went to Zach's Club twice before and it's pretty nice- they have a pair of 25, 35, and 45lb bumpers... Not sure if you'd want to ge check it out there.

    But I personally just don't like commercial gyms too much. I think your idea of renting a small garage ofr warehouse is probably a good idea.

    I went from a really nice gym in Austin that was very old school, had several racks, bumpers and several o-lifting coaches to commercial gym hell where most squats are a subtle unlocking of the knees. I really wish I would have taken advantage of them while I was there because now that even though it's not really my goal, doing a passable clean and jerk and snatch would be really nice.

    12/15/11 Intensity Day

    Squat 345x3

    Bench 220x3

    Deadlift 380x3

    Barbell rows 225x5x3

    Dips BWx10x2

    Was pretty happy with my squats after last week when I threw in another set just to not go home with a set of highish squats.

    Went back to flat shoes for deadlifting. I think I have to drop my hips a little more than what might be recommended for getting a flat back. Wasn't perfect, but improved some. Was going to do a lighter set of 5 today but instead did a 3RM PR....because I have the willpower of a 3rd grader.

    Bench was good, last PR was 230x2 so I'm set up for 225x3 on my next bench week, pretty happy about that.

    Rows were probably a little jerky, but I'm not too worried about the row police coming for me.

    I need a dip belt pretty bad.
