Weight confirmed @ 171#. Eating like crazy trying to put on some weight. I've been following the TM for about 4 weeks. Prior to that I have a couple of inconsistent months of bastardized weight training while trying to get my head straight after some life changing events. during that time lost some weight, a decent amount of strength and a lot of motivation. Coming back at it with a vengeance though. Currently deployed.
Goals:
weight= healthy 200#.
DL= 600#
squat= 450#
press= 225#
bench= 315#
C&J= 150kg
snatch= 110kg
Recovery day:
Squat 2x5 @ 230#
Press 3x5 @ 130#
GM 3x15 @ 95#
Chins 3xfailure (19/8/7)
Feeling pretty beat up today. I am sure part of it has to do with not eating enough. The last couple of days have not been that great for meal selection here(currently deployed navy) very limited protein and fat options though there are tons of carbs(pancakes, waffles, rice and pasta).
Today was supposed to be "intensity" day but taking a needed extra rest day.
Squat: 1x5 @ 325# didn't happen... ended up only getting 3. Got the other 2 after a minute rest. going to try that weight again next week, if it doesn't happen again then I will reset or possible go to an upper/lower 4 day split.
Bench: 1RM ended at 265# felt good was more than I had expected so happy with that
PC: 3x5 @ 185# went well(except for 1 where I rushed it a bit) but they are getting heavy.
followed up with a few sets of Kirk shrugs first time doing these went pretty well.
Volume day:
Squats 5x5 @ 295# kicked my ass!!!!
Presses 5x5 @ 130# Went well
DL 1x5 @ 395# failed!!!! only got 1! wiped out from squats may look at added these to intensity day
Dips 4x8 @ 45#
Recovery:
Squats 2x5 @ 235#
Bench 3x5 @ 175#
Chins 20/8/6
GMs 2x15 @ 95# (wicked headache so skipped 3rd set)

Intensity Day:
Squat 5x1 @ 325# went well, heavy but easier than last week!
Press 1RM @ 190# blew past target of 175-180# to match a lifetime PR
DL 5x1 @ 395# this was after i realized mid 5th rep that I had added wrong and loaded 385# the first time! DL seems to be heading back up. Definitely think I like DL on day 3 better than day 1!
1 set to failure(25reps) Kroc rows @ 80#
Body weight up ~4-7# in the last 1.5wks sitting at about 175-178#(different scales)
