Congrats on the PRs. Unexpected PRs when you feel worn down are even better than when you plan them.

Nice job with the squat PRs, David! It's great when it happens on a day you don't imagine it would!

Inching towards a 500, 2xBW+ squat! Nice. Must be motivating at a time when life is tugging at you, to see this sort of performance pop up.

Thanks a lot guys. I'm surprised when things go well now. Looking back I hurt my back on 6/3 last year and did not train squat or DL all summer. Then when I came back in the Fall I hurt my quad and IT band which really slowed down my squat. It's clear now that box squats can help make regular squats stronger for me. They will be a staple of mine when it comes to any real volume. I'm not going to rush getting to 500. First I'll focus on double BW and see from there. Lots of PRs between 445 and 500!

    Thur. 5/7/15

BW around 234. Since the squats on tue. I've been really hungry. More sore than normal too. 2,360 does not seem like a lot of calories.

Had less than an hour between unusual traffic and a haircut. Skipped most of my rolling and just went to lifting.

    Press
95x8, 135x3, 165x1, 195x1, 175x6, 160x8, 160x8 - not my best. I did hit 195 beltless which was hard with sore abs and low back.

    Superset

    Wide pull down
    200x4x10

Steep hammer strength incline (weight per side)
    90x3x8

    Sat. 5/9/15

Too much work, stress, and calorie restriction finally caught up with me. I knew it going in so I just adjusted. Spent all Saturday half asleep.

    DL.
225x5, 315x3, 405x1, 455x1, 495x1, 525x1 - opted for some singles over trying to rep out 485 as planned. My right QL is also acting up. Being smart.

    Super set
    Seated hamstring curl
    100x4x10
    One leg leg extension
    35x4x10

    One arm cable curl
    50x3x15

    Sun. 5/10/15

Got some decent sleep but up early and to gym at 8:30am. Today was much better.

    Bench
    135x10, 185x5, 225x3, 275x1, 305x1, 275x6, 250x8, 250x7 - very solid 6 reps at 275. Maybe had another but did not want to miss today.

    Seated Press (bench grip)
    95x5, 135x5, 155x5, 165x5, 170x5, 175x5 - much stronger on these than last week.

    Quick superset
    Chest supported 2x10
    Band pull apart 2x20
    Push down 2x10

    BW was 234.2 this morning.

    Abzz?!

I feel you on the less than optimal conditions. Being consistent at this point will pay dividends down the line.
