    12/11/12 c12 - w3 - d1

    Press Day

    eb x10, 65lbs x5, 85lbs x5, 100lbs x3
    112.5lbs x5, 127.5lbs x3, 142.5lbs x1
    142.5lbs 2x1
    127.5lbs x3, 112.5lbs x10
Getting more than one for the AMRAP was gonna be a tall order, got the second to about the forehead and no further. So, it looks like a de-load is in store.

    Assistance Work:
    Bench - eb x10, 95lbs x5, 115lbs x5, 135lbs x3, 155lbs x10, 145lbs x10, 135lbs x10
    Neutral Grip Chins / Dips - bw +15lbs 5x5
    Rows - 135lbs x10, 145lbs x10, 155lbs x10
    LTE / Curls - 55lbs x30

Decent day even with the Press, good effort on the assistance work...

    Hurls-
That no one has tagged you with that patronym is surprising. In my neck of the woods everyone has more nicknames than if we lived in a Russian novel.

Nice job, Browndog. I can't wait to get my press over one plate on a side.

    Deadlift Day
    135lbs 2x5, 185lbs x5, 225lbs x5, 265lbs x3
    320.5lbs x5, 342.5lbs x3, 382.5lbs x3

Well that was a whole load of suckitude. I could not get my lower back set to save my life, probably three of the ugliest lifts I ever pulled. I aborted the set so to live and lift another day. I really was shooting for 6 reps....f***!

    Assistance Work:
    Box Squat - eb 2x5, 95lbs x5, 145lbs x5, 195lbs x3, 225lbs 4x3, 205lbs 3x4, 185lbs 3x5
    BSS - bw x20, +10lbs x20, +30lbs x15, +60lbs x10

Hey, the Squats were good and fast, so I got that going for me...gunga la gunga.

Always good knowing when to say when. There's no point in courting an injury.

I agree with Mark: sometimes discretion is the better part of valor. One doesn't fuck with the deadlift.

    Bench Day

    eb 3x5, 95lbs x5, 115lbs x5, 135lbs x3 145lbs x1
    155lbs x5, 175lbs x3, 195lbs x4
    205lbs x1, 215lbs x1
    175lbs x3, 155lbs x12
I'm good with this session. A horrific 72 hours precedes this, and if I can put up these numbers inside the current shit storm I'm experiencing, I'm happy.

    Assistance Work:
    Press - eb x5, 67.5lbs x3, 87.5lbs x3, 107.5lbs x3, 112.5lbs x10, 97.5lbs x12, 87.5lbs x12
    LTE / Curls - 37.5lbs x30, 57.5lbs x15, 77.5lbs x10
    Rows - 135lbs x10, 145lbs x10, 155lbs x10

    Done and done...

Hurls, Oldman - Thanks for the confirmation on pulling up short on the DL. It makes me feel less of a wuss...Cheers!

    Squat Day

    eb 2x5, 95lbs x5, 145lbs x5, 195lbs 3
    225lbs x5, 252.5lbs x3, 282.5lbs x3
    295lbs x1
    252,5lbs x3, 225lbs x10
Good session, if there was a fourth rep, it would have been an ugly fourth. 295lbs went up fairly easily.

    Assistance Work:
    Deadlift - 135lbs x10, 225lbs x5, 275lbs x3, 305lbs x10, 275lbs x12, 245lbs x15
    Hip Thrusts - 135lbs x10, 225lbs x5, 275lbs x3, 305lbs x10, 275lbs x12, 245lbs x15

All finished with cycle 12, the heavy stuff at least. De-load coming up and then onto 2013 programming...

    12/20/12

    De-Load Press

    eb 3x10, 60lbs x15, 75lbs x10, 90lbs x5, 75lbs x10, 60lbs x15

    Assistance Work:
    Bench (paused) - eb x20, 65lbs x20, 85lbs x15, 105lbs 3x10
    Curls - 20lbs each x30, 25lbs each x20, 30lbs each x10

Very proud of myself to not over do it on "de-load days". I've been known to do some really stupid shit on the light week...

Staying light on the light days can be the toughest part of an intermediate program, I think.
