Thanks gentlemen. You help me remain more calm than I would otherwise be. Keep up your good work in making gains. They too are encouraging to me.

Light day. I've had the initial shots but not the booster. I awoke with a minor sore throat over the last few mornings and wondered in the Omicron had caught up with me. The home test kits that I had used several times before were sold out. I texted Sully that we might not be in since I couldn't find a kit. He said, "come a few minutes early and I will check you in your car." He is a gracious man. Anyway, I guess I just have light cold. I wore a mask during the session so as not to give anyone my cold.
Squat: all paused. Air x 5; 70 x 5; 95 x 5 x 3
Bench: 45 x 5; 95 x 3; 135 x 1; 155 x 1; 137.5 x 5, 4
Dead: 135 x 3; 155 x 5 x 2
Prowler: 30 x 6 x 2

Sore throat and coughing forced me to the Drs office. They gave me another quicky test which was negative. Then they gave me a PCR test. The results will be coming tomorrow. I've only been sleeping 3 or 4 hours a night since Saturday between coughing spells. No fever. Antibiotics, and cough medicine frequently. I missed lifting on Monday. If the PCR test is also negative and we do a bit more recovery my wife and I hope to be back this Friday.
If the tests are positive for Omicron who knows how long we will be out?

The tests came back negative. I don't know what I have/had but it seems not to have anything to do with Covid. I'll contact Sully and I may be back to lifting on Friday.

I find chicken bone broth quite therapeutic (reduces inflammation in gi tract), an it is easily and cheaply made out of discarded chicken bones.
I have a crock pot of that on now, and almost a gallon in the frig.

The coughing has not stopped but isn't continuous. I did not go in for lifting today and thought it best to wait until Monday. What have had not considered is that of all the lifters I have encountered over the last nearly 8 years I cough more than anyone else on a fairly consistent basis. Sully remarked on that fact to my wife today and wondered why an x-ray wasn't taken. I sent that question to my Doctor. I await his response. It seems this old grey stallion "ain't what he used to be."
