    Default Shingles and Lifting

Found out the nerve pain I’ve been having in my leg and the rash on my leg that’s sensitive to the touch is shingles. I’ve been lifting on it for about two weeks and sometimes it seems like it helps. Other times it pisses it off. I’d say more good than bad though.

Is this something the stress from heavier lifts could worsen? I’m no stranger to training, and will train through a lot, but don’t want stress to cause this thing to fester and cause any sort of herpetic nerve damage.

If you don't overtrain while you're in the flare, you'll be fine. Bad news is that this will happen again, but as long as it's on your leg you should be able to train through it.

    Thanks, Rip!
