Agreed with Rip. I would also maintain a normal check in with your therapist to keep this under control and not just for flair ups (Proactive vs Reactive). However in the meantime what I do (in-between therapist visits) is to get into a daily routine of doing the classic pigeon pose ( yes its a Yoga Pose, but don't let that stop you from performing it). Its super easy and I do it in-between sets at the gym.

This stretch specially releases your glutes which like Rip said is the piriformis muscle hitting the sciatica nerve. The stretch releases and relaxes this muscle taking pressure off the nerve, thus stopping the radiating pain. I suggest doing both sides so you remain balanced. As stated this is a great stretch to do in-between sets of your deadlift or squat or as a warm up etc. Highly recommend. Eventually your hips will open and your pain will go away and most importantly, stay away.
