Hello,
A question regarding a phrase in MOMG where you said that is rare when a trainee of the right age height and with proper motivation comes in your gym.
I am interested in the height part.
Is it your experience that short people progress faster on SS due reduced lever arms? Are they able to lift heavier weights?
Could you explain what you said in MOMG by right height?
Thanks,(used search could not find anything deeply apologize if you have already answered such kind of question)

Thanks,
Thus ,If there were no weightclasses tall people would dominate powerlifting aswell?
If the trophies were awarded only on the basis of total. A 6' 2" guy weighing 365 will probably out-total a 5' 2" guy weighing 148.
Duh.
Thanks for answering that silly question.
Just surprised to see myself stalling at around 128kg squats. I am 196cm.
With decent technique http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HZStbLT228.
When shorter people of my bodyweight 105kg seem to hit bigger weights.
I guess I just need more alot more bodyweight to grow myself some decent lever arms :-).
i was thinking about this too.
Does this apply to weightlifting too?
In theory a snatch should be 80% of a clean, but i guess this rule doesn't apply to tall guys who have to hold the bar very high overhead in the snatch because collar to collar is simply not wide enough?
Interesting that the OP omitted his bodyweight. But I guess I don't see Randle's point here. Is the bar too short, or is the lifter too tall?
Sometimes....people wonder about the craziest shit.
105-109kg.
