Positive Drug Tests At The Nationals

Rumors from some pretty good sources say there were two big name lifters who tested positive at the Nationals. Keep in mind this is still just a rumor. There were no spectacular performances at the Nationals. If someone did get caught they must not be using the same steroids as everybody accuses the rest of the world using.

Nobody knows. This is the USAW we are talking about. The leak happened when two alternates were notified to get ready for the Pan Am games.

If it turns out to be anabolics that anyone gets popped over (which I'd find a bit surprising), it would just make the situation even more depressing. We can't even cheat correctly.

Heard this as well from a few lifters going to the pan ams at the gym yesterday. I think they need better drugs, or better training-or both.

Apparently one of those who tested positive was a super-heavyweight and was one of the better lifters.

The latest reliable word I got is that nobody will be surprised when the names are released. Hmmmmm that narrows it down. So far Shepard has the best post in the thread.

The residents at the OTC should be looking for a place to rent. Even if a resident is not involved, there is no way this will go unnoticed by the USOC, and will be the final nail in the coffin for the program.
