Hey Rip,
Just curious what your thoughts are on using chains for lifting. I've used them every so often just as a fun way to mix things up, but not sure if they are really aiding the strength process anymore than just putting a plate on the bar. I've noticed that West Side uses them along with the bands as well, but just wondered how you feel about the effectiveness of using them.

Haha got it! Squat with a barbell not chains!
Rip, is it safe to say that chains should be one of the last things added to an athlete's program after all other sensible techniques have been exhausted? In other words, they should be reserved for advanced, competitive lifters, who are EXTREMELY far along the path of adaptation.
Yes, that's a safe assessment.
No, you should be exactly this pissed off.
After the cf powerlifting cert we just hosted, i suspect it's only a matter of time before everyone is using chains. ah well. won't be me.
What other people say to their clients shouldnt piss you off, it should only make you laugh, they arent forcing you to do it!, like Michele says, "wont be me."
