    I appreciate the videos. I've seen these two actually - but I was hoping for a permanent solution. I've heard zinc "seeps into the pores" of the metal so it sounded like a good idea. However, I didn't know about the process of galvanization being required. I may have to settle for cleaning - but I'll post some pics of the process if I paint it.

    I also wasn't suggesting that you go digging up the articles for me - I assumed you were so familiar you'd know exactly which ones were applicable. I originally tried to ctrl+f for zinc but barbell breaking should be a bit more to go on. Thanks Dillman.
