Rip, you've said many times how Ridley Scott doesn't make any bad movies. Do you have an opinion on Legend, his 1985 fantasy movie?

Watched it recently. My opinion stands.

I definitely wasn't offering it as a counterexample. I've always liked that movie, though it seems to get a bad rap. It turns out that, like many of Scott's movies, there are multiple versions. AM I right in assuming you recommend the director's cut on this one, too?

Always. Scott knows how he wants his movie edited.

Ronin from 1998. I love car chases.

Rip, did you ever get around to watching the Last Samurai? I believe you said you were going to give it another watch.

Wrong. Napoleon. The Last Duel. House of Gucci. A Good Year. Alien Covenant. All of these films are bland and boring and BAD.

Really? Objectively speaking, the Last Duel was bad? There’s no personal opinion involved there?

The only good thing is Jodie Comer's performance.
