This seems to be happening quite often:

LOOK: Top NHL prospect Casey Mittelstadt can't do a single pull-up - CBSSports.com

I'd like to know who's been training him.

The comments from the peanut gallery (yes, these are real) show precisely why we're stuck narrowcasting:

    Game strength is more important
I'd be more concerned about leg stamina.
Why would u need to do chin up to play hockey?
Man the kid is gonna suck when they get to the part of the game where they gotta do pull ups
Strength doesn't teach how to use your brain and size as leverage. If i remember correctly, Wayne Gretzy wasn't the biggest, strongest, or fastest player. He was smart though.
If he can play, who cares what he can bench? C'mon.
Pull ups don't have much bearing on vision or wrist shots...ask Gretzky
show me in the nhl where doing pull ups contributes to something on the ice
Your bottom half is more important in hockey anyway. How strong are his legs?
And my personal favorite, just because of the sheer volume of ignorance it exudes:

a pull-up is not an accurate measure of overall strength or athleticism. To do a chin-up, you basically have to almost curl and shrug your entire bodyweight. When you're that tall and weigh almost 200 pounds, pulling this weight with long arms can be especially difficult. He'd have to do some serious arm and shoulder strength training in order to do a lot of pull-ups, let alone one; which, by the way, wouldn't be applicable to hockey, seeing as they mostly need a lot of strength in the chest, back, triceps, and LEGS.
