Sorry, but I've got absolutely no idea about this one. Anybody else?
hey mark, i've been doing a lot of high volume, frequency, and intensity squatting this week (spring break, so i thought i'd get something done).
i squatted on Wednesday, and towards the end i noticed a feeling in my left inner quad that it similar to DOMS (delayed soreness). however, when i went home, i didn't even notice it.
that is where i am feeling it.
today (friday) i squatted again, and it was present from start till finish.
it doesn't exactly hurt, and it's only in my left leg not my right leg. when i was resting between sets, the left quad just felt really tired, like i had kept it flexed for a long time even though i was sitting down and my right quad felt perfectly normal.
i don't think it's a joint issue, just that part of the quad muscle.
what do you think? thanks a lot.
Sorry, but I've got absolutely no idea about this one. Anybody else?
i googled it and the symptoms seem consistent with a thigh strain?
i also noticed there is swelling, that part of the quad is bigger than my right leg's when i compare, which shouldn't be.
i've never had a muscle strain before so i'm not sure.
would you recommend icing it, heating it, etc?
thanks mark.
The term "thigh strain" is about as unspecific a diagnosis as can be uttered in the English language, and is exactly what your doctor will tell you should you be foolish enough to ask him. Again, without being there I can't tell much about it, but ice is always a good idea.
