Stretching before lifting?
Specifically, I'm wondering if it's okay to stretch my hamstrings before deadlifting.
I've found that keeping my back ''rigid'' is easier after some stretching.
Is this okay to do?

I do it, because my hamstrings are tight enough that I have to before I can get in a good position to pull. Stretching for athletes that are already flexible enough is a waste of time and is detrimental to power production, but for someone who needs to stretch before a correct position can be achieved it is essential.
