Victor Hanson has referred to a similar issue as well, though it dates back further than the Obama administration. Specifically referring to Mexico, mass immigration has a two-fold effect: 1) the Mexican government offloads people from it's own social services and; 2) the US government, due to one or more of benevolence, incompetence, or malice, provides social services to those immigrants, thus freeing up money to be sent back to family members in Mexico.

Fast forward to 2023, and VDH refers to the same issue:
